Bananas Foster
Ingredients:
4 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced lengthwise or into 1/2-inch rounds
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup dark rum (or light rum if preferred)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Vanilla ice cream (for serving)
Instructions:
Prepare the Caramel Sauce:
In a large skillet or sauté pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Stir in the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture is smooth and the sugar has dissolved, about 2-3 minutes.
