Savory Chicken and Vegetable Pie
Ingredients:
For the Pie Crust:
2 1/2 cups (315g) all-purpose flour
1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, cold and cut into small cubes
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/4 to 1/2 cup (60-120ml) ice water
For the Filling:
2 cups (300g) cooked chicken, shredded
1 cup (150g) frozen peas and carrots, thawed
1/2 cup (75g) frozen corn, thawed
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups (360ml) chicken broth
1/2 cup (120ml) milk or cream
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
