A classic British dessert, Sticky Toffee Pudding is wonderfully moist and rich, featuring a date-infused cake drenched in a delicious toffee sauce.

1️⃣ Prepare the Cake:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease ramekins or muffin tin.
Cover chopped dates with boiling water, add baking soda, stir, and let sit for 20 minutes.
Cream butter, brown sugar, and molasses until smooth. Incorporate eggs one at a time, then vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients.
Mash or puree soaked dates with their liquid and mix into the batter. Fill prepared ramekins and bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

2️⃣ Make Toffee Sauce:

Melt butter in a saucepan, add cream, brown sugar, molasses, and salt. Simmer for 5-8 minutes, then whisk in vanilla. Let cool slightly; it thickens as it cools.

3️⃣ Assembly and Serving:

While warm, unmold cakes onto a baking sheet. Level tops if desired. Brush cakes with toffee sauce, reserving some for serving.
Serve warm with additional toffee sauce and optional garnishes like whipped cream or ice cream.
