Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips or semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
Prepare Dough:

Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
Add Vanilla: Mix in the vanilla extract.
Add Flour: Gradually add the flour, mixing on low speed until just combined. The dough will be thick.
Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
