Cinnamon-Spiced Doughnuts

Prepare the Doughnuts:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a doughnut pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Bake:
Fill each doughnut mold about three-quarters full with the batter.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the doughnuts comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Prepare the Coating:
In a shallow bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
Brush each doughnut with the melted butter and then dip into the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.
