Classic Chicken Pot Pie Recipe

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Roll out one pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish or a similar-sized baking dish.
Pour the chicken filling into the prepared pie crust.
Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the filling. Trim any excess dough, and crimp the edges to seal.
Cut a few small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape. Brush the crust with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
Bake the Pot Pie:

Place the pie on a baking sheet (to catch any drips) and bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
Cool and Serve:

Allow the pot pie to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. This helps the filling set and makes it easier to serve.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
Feel free to customize this recipe with your favorite veggies or add a sprinkle of cheese to the filling for extra richness. Enjoy your delicious, homemade chicken pot pie!
