Crispy Fried Pork Chops

Crispy Fried Pork Chops
Ingredients:
4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1/2 to 1-inch thick)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk (or 1 cup milk with 1 tablespoon lemon juice or white vinegar)
2 cups seasoned breadcrumbs or panko breadcrumbs
Vegetable oil, for frying (such as canola or peanut oil)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Pork Chops:

If needed, trim any excess fat from the pork chops.
Use a meat mallet or rolling pin to gently pound the pork chops to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch. This ensures even cooking.
2. Set Up the Breading Station:

In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
In a second shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and buttermilk.
Place the seasoned breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish.
3. Bread the Pork Chops:

Dredge each pork chop in the seasoned flour, coating both sides and shaking off any excess.
Dip the floured pork chop into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off.
Coat the pork chop with the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere. Ensure the pork chop is well coated.
4. Fry the Pork Chops:
