Easy Pecan Sandies

Ingredients:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans
1/4 teaspoon salt (optional, if using unsalted butter)
Instructions:

Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Cream Butter and Sugars:

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in the vanilla extract.
Add Flour:

Gradually add the all-purpose flour and salt (if using) to the butter mixture. Mix until just combined. The dough will be thick.
