Ingredients:
2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ground nutmeg or cinnamon (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Heat Milk:

In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it’s just about to simmer (not boiling), stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
3. Prepare Custard Mixture:

In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, salt, and eggs until well combined.
Gradually add the warm milk to the egg mixture, whisking continuously to prevent the eggs from cooking.
4. Add Vanilla:

Stir in the vanilla extract.
5. Strain (Optional):

For an ultra-smooth custard, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into another bowl to remove any potential egg solids.
6. Pour into Ramekins:
