Homemade Blackberry Dumplings Recipe

Prepare the Blackberry Sauce:

In a medium saucepan, combine the blackberries, sugar, water, and lemon juice.
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the blackberries release their juices and the mixture thickens slightly (about 10-15 minutes).
Remove from heat and set aside.
Prepare the Dumplings:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The dough will be sticky.
Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the simmering blackberry sauce. Make sure they are spaced apart to allow them to expand.
