How to Cook Crab Legs
1. Boiling
Ingredients:

2-3 pounds of crab legs (snow or king crab)
1/4 cup salt
1/4 cup Old Bay seasoning (optional)
2-3 cloves garlic, smashed (optional)
1 lemon, quartered (optional)
Instructions:

Prepare Water: Fill a large pot with water, enough to cover the crab legs. Add salt, Old Bay seasoning, garlic, and lemon if using.
Boil Water: Bring the water to a boil over high heat.
Add Crab Legs: Add the crab legs to the pot. If they are frozen, you may need to break them into smaller sections to fit.
Cook: Boil for 5-7 minutes for pre-cooked crab legs or 8-10 minutes for raw crab legs. They are done when they turn a bright orange or red color.
Drain and Serve: Remove the crab legs from the pot and drain. Serve with melted butter and lemon wedges.
2. Steaming
Ingredients:

2-3 pounds of crab legs
1 cup water
1/4 cup Old Bay seasoning (optional)
1 lemon, quartered (optional)
Instructions:

Prepare Steamer: Fill the bottom of a large steamer pot with water. Add Old Bay seasoning and lemon if using.
Preheat Steamer: Bring the water to a boil.
Add Crab Legs: Place the crab legs in the steamer basket and cover.
Steam: Steam for 5-7 minutes for pre-cooked crab legs or 8-10 minutes for raw crab legs.
Serve: Remove the crab legs from the steamer and serve with melted butter and lemon wedges.
3. Broiling
Ingredients:

2-3 pounds of crab legs
2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (optional)
Instructions:

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven’s broiler.
Prepare Crab Legs: If desired, cut the crab legs into smaller sections for easier handling. Brush with olive oil or melted butter and sprinkle with Old Bay seasoning.
Broil: Place the crab legs on a baking sheet under the broiler. Broil for 5-7 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are heated through and slightly crispy.
Serve: Remove from the oven and serve with more melted butter and lemon wedges.
