Ingredients:

For the Fruit Filling:
4 cups fresh or frozen fruit (such as peaches, berries, or apples), chopped
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional, depending on fruit type)
For the Cobbler Topping:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
1/2 cup buttermilk (or milk with 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Fruit Filling:
Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Combine Ingredients:

In a large bowl, mix the fruit, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon (if using). Toss to combine and set aside.
Transfer to Baking Dish:

Pour the fruit mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish or a similar-sized ovenproof dish.
2. Make the Cobbler Topping:
Mix Dry Ingredients:

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Cut in Butter:

Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
