My mom made these Old School Pizza Burgers all the time, and they were always a hit! Now, every time I make them, my family can’t get enough of the cheesy, saucy goodness—an all-time favorite.

For the Burger Patties:
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Divide the seasoned beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare to medium doneness. Adjust the cooking time to your preference.
While the burger patties are cooking, split the hamburger buns and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster.
For the Pizza Toppings:
When the burger patties are almost done, top each patty with a generous spoonful of marinara sauce.
Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
Add your favorite pizza toppings to each burger patty.
Cover the grill or skillet and let the burgers cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
To Assemble:
Place each pizza burger on a toasted hamburger bun.
Serve your Old School Pizza Burgers hot and savor the delightful fusion of pizza and burgers in every bite!
