Roasted Acorn Squash
Ingredients:
1 large acorn squash
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons brown sugar or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the Squash:

Cut Squash: Slice the acorn squash in half from stem to base. Use a spoon to scoop out the seeds and stringy bits from the center.
Slice: If you prefer, you can cut the halves into wedges for quicker roasting and easier serving.
