Strawberry bombs are delightful, bite-sized treats that combine strawberries with a sweet filling, typically enveloped in pastry or chocolate. Here’s a simple recipe to make strawberry bombs:

Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Prepare the Strawberries: Hull the strawberries (remove the stems and cores) and make sure they are clean and dry.

Fill the Strawberries: Using a small spoon or a piping bag, fill each hulled strawberry with the cream cheese mixture.

Prepare the Puff Pastry: Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry into squares large enough to wrap around each strawberry (about 3×3 inches).

Wrap the Strawberries: Place a filled strawberry in the center of each puff pastry square. Gently fold the corners of the pastry up and over the strawberry, pinching the edges together to seal completely.

Brush with Egg Wash: Place the wrapped strawberries seam side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each one with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and cooked through.

Cool and Dust: Allow the strawberry bombs to cool slightly on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Optional – Chocolate Drizzle: If desired, melt some chocolate and drizzle it over the cooled strawberry bombs for an extra touch of sweetness.

Enjoy your delicious strawberry bombs as a sweet treat or dessert!
