Yellowed pillows need cleaning

After thirty minutes, I wasn’t happy with how things were going, so I added another cup of hydrogen peroxide. I noticed that my washing machine is quite large and I wasn’t happy with the state of things. Washtubs vary in size, so it’s important to take this into account. After all was said and done, I used two cups of hydrogen peroxide, half a cup of vinegar, and a quarter cup of lemon juice.

After adding your detergent of choice to the washer, proceed with the regular wash cycle.

Inspect your pillows by removing them from the cover. If they are clean enough like mine were, you should put them in the dryer. If they are not, you may need to start the soaking process again or try one of the other methods listed below.

It took about half an hour for my pillows to dry after setting my dryer to the lowest possible setting.

A combination of one cup of laundry detergent, one cup of washing soda, one cup of borax, and one cup of castile soap was added to the washing machine after I put the pillows in. After soaking the pillows for half an hour, flipping them over and soaking them for another half an hour, and then running the wash cycle, this is what I got:

While it made a difference, one of the pillows was still more yellow than I would have liked.
When all is said and done, these are excellent alternatives to bleach if you want to avoid using chemicals. Additionally, it can be used on mattress pads, pillowcases, and pillows.
