Sticky Cinnamon Roll Baked Oatmeal

Ingredients:

For the Oatmeal:

2 cups old-fashioned oats
1 ½ cups milk (any kind: dairy or non-dairy)
2 large eggs
¼ cup maple syrup or honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped apples or raisins (optional)
For the Cinnamon Swirl:

2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
¼ cup brown sugar (packed)
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For the Glaze (optional):

½ cup powdered sugar
1-2 tablespoons milk (adjust to desired consistency)
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or a similar-sized pan.

Prepare Oat Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the oats, milk, eggs, maple syrup (or honey), vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt. Mix well until combined.

Add Optional Ingredients: Fold in the chopped apples or raisins if using.

Prepare Cinnamon Swirl: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until well combined.
