Candied Yams with Marshmallows

Ingredients

6 medium-sized yams, peeled and sliced
1 stick of salted butter
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions

1️⃣ Boil the Yams:

Place the peeled and sliced yams into a large pot and cover them with water.
Place the pot on the stovetop, turn the heat to high, and let the yams boil for about 5 minutes. Then drain the yams and set them aside.
