Cream Cheese Pasta Sauce
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
4 oz cream cheese, softened and cubed
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (basil, oregano, thyme, etc.)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (for a touch of heat)
Optional: Fresh parsley or basil for garnish
Instructions:
Sauté the Garlic:
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant, but be careful not to burn it.
Add the Cream:
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir occasionally to keep the cream from scorching.
Incorporate the Cream Cheese:
Add the cubed cream cheese to the skillet. Continue to stir until the cream cheese is completely melted and incorporated into the sauce, creating a smooth texture.
Add Parmesan and Season:
