Mac and Cheese Burger Buns Recipe

Mac and Cheese Burger Buns Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Mac and Cheese:

2 cups elbow macaroni
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Buns:

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 large eggs
Cooking spray or oil for frying
Instructions:
Prepare the Mac and Cheese:

Cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1-2 minutes, or until the mixture is slightly golden.
Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens and starts to bubble.
Stir in the cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheeses are fully melted and the sauce is smooth.
Mix the cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce until well coated.
Form the Mac and Cheese Buns:

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Use a 1/4 cup measure to scoop portions of the mac and cheese onto the baking sheet. Shape them into flat, round patties about 1/2 inch thick. You should have about 6-8 patties.
Freeze the patties for at least 1 hour or until they are firm.
