Peanut Butter Crunch Brownies

1. Make the Brownie Base:
Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8-inch baking pan, or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
Melt Butter:

In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Combine Dry Ingredients:

Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
Bake:

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool:

Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before adding the peanut butter crunch layer.
2. Prepare the Peanut Butter Crunch Layer:
Mix Peanut Butter Crunch:

In a medium bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter and powdered sugar (if using). Stir until smooth.
Add Rice Krispies:

Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated with the peanut butter mixture.
Spread Layer:

Spread the peanut butter crunch mixture evenly over the cooled brownie base. Press down gently to ensure it sticks.
3. Add the Chocolate Topping:
Melt Chocolate:

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips and butter together, stirring constantly until smooth and glossy.
