The Best Ever Pecan Pie

The Best Ever Pecan Pie
Ingredients:

For the Pie Crust:

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small cubes
2-3 tablespoons ice water
For the Pecan Pie Filling:

1 cup light corn syrup (or you can use dark corn syrup for a richer flavor)
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups pecan halves
Instructions:

Prepare the Pie Crust:

In a medium bowl, combine the flour and salt.
Add the chilled butter cubes and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Gradually add the ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the dough begins to come together. You may not need all the water.
Form the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Roll Out the Pie Crust:

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to fit a 9-inch pie dish. Transfer the dough to the pie dish and trim any excess, crimping the edges as desired.
Place the pie crust in the refrigerator while you prepare the filling.
